The Giant Angel
There,s a great big rusty Angel,on a hill in Gateshead Toon.
It stands there deeing nothing, just blotting out the moon
There are some who think it,s beautiful, and some who disagree,
But the pigeons and the seagulls knaa exactly what ta' dee
The Geordie population has been shaken to the core,
We've had Roman waal's and Lambton Worms, but nowt like this before,
Now Angels are God's messenger's, Aa've always understood,
They sit on clouds and play their harp,s, and tell us to be good,
They say Heaven,s full of Angel,s superior to man,
But if this is what they look like, I div v'nt want to gan !
